most parts of West Virginia, a person without a vehicle can't keep a
job. Lack of transportation also limits access to safe and affordable
housing, medical care, educational opportunities and even groceries.
Since the Good News Mountaineer Garage opened its doors in 2001, we have provided safe reliable transportation to hundreds of West Virginia families. Each of those cars has changed someone's life.
You can recycle your used car to help families with low incomes get on the road to work - a triple win for us all:

NEW TAX LAW! You may have heard that tax deductions for cars
donated to charities are no longer allowed. Not true! The new tax law allows donors to STILL DEDUCT THE FAIR MARKET VALUE when the vehicle is passed on directly to a low income family.
